What Makes Prosit Different to Other Aloe Products

by Danielle Brill— 2018-08-21

Civilization has valued the humble Aloe for its powerful healing properties for centuries. The Ancient Chinese and Egyptians all used the gel contained within an Aloe’s leaves to treat wounds and soothe burnt and painful skin. Even today, Aloe products are a popular choice for the treatment of physical ailments, including skin conditions and stomach concerns. It is worth noting however that not all Aloe products are created equal. Read on to discover how the Prosit product range stands out from other Aloe products currently on shelves in South Africa.

Prosit is made from Aloe ferox

In comparison to Aloe Vera products, Prosit is made from the Aloe ferox species. Whilst both species present a wealth of wonderful health benefits, we stand firmly by the Aloe ferox plant for a number of reasons. Not only does it produce about 20 times more sap, but it also boasts a higher concentration of nutrients and almost double the amount of amino acids.

Some of the key differences between Aloe Vera and Aloe ferox include:

  • Aloe ferox is indigenous to South Africa whereas Aloe Vera is believed to have originated in Sudan in Northeast Africa.
  • Aloe ferox exists naturally in the wild, whereas Aloe Vera is widely commercially grown and cultivated.
  • The bottom leaves of an Aloe ferox plant are harvested using traditional methods so as to protect the sustainability of a plant, whereas the entire Aloe Vera plant is harvested using mechanised methods.

Prosit is completely natural and all the Aloe ferox plants we use are harvested in an ethical manner. By choosing to use Prosit, you are also supporting South Africa’s economy and creating jobs for local communities as all our Aloes are sourced and harvested on farms within the Karoo region of the Eastern Cape Province.

Prosit contains a blend of natural herbs

The specific combination and concentration of ingredients found within Prosit is what truly sets it apart from the rest. In addition to Aloe ferox, Prosit contains a number of natural herbs including cayenne pepper, garlic, liquorice and ginger. By carefully selecting and blending these ingredients together, African Cures has developed a herbal product which presents even more health benefits than before.

Amongst others, the ingredients within Prosit have been found to assist with the following conditions:

  • Digestion problems such as upset stomach, intestinal gas, stomach pains, diarrhoea and cramps
  • Spastic colon and constipation
  • Dizziness and nausea
  • Stress and low energy levels
  • High blood sugar levels
  • High cholesterol levels and high blood pressure
  • Atherosclerosis and poor circulation
  • Weakened immune systems
  • Muscular pains and spasms
  • Arthritis
  • Sinusitis and mucous-related conditions
  • Burns and skin conditions such as eczema and acne

Prosit offers variety

The Prosit product range caters to a wide range of consumer needs. For example, Prosit Veggie Capsules are vegetarian-friendly while Prosit Alcohol-Free Liquid contains no alcohol or sugar, making it suitable for diabetics. Both these products are Halaal and Shuddha certified. Prosit is also safe for use by children older than 10 years.
