Brand New Look, Same Great Product!

by Danielle Brill— 2018-08-01

African Cures launched the Prosit brand almost two decades ago and an increasing number of South Africans have seen the value in alternative medicines ever since. With today’s health-conscious consumer in mind, we felt it important to improve our branding to not only appeal to their changing needs, but also to more accurately reflect the qualities of our herbal products made from all-natural ingredients.

While it hasn’t been easy to say goodbye to the branding that’s been with us since the beginning, we’re thrilled to reveal the new look that’ll take our company into this exciting new chapter! So without further ado, here’s a peek at the new Prosit logo and product labels as well as African Cures’ new brand identity.

The NEW African Cures Brand Identity

As the sole manufacture of Prosit, we wanted our new brand identity to have a natural look that aligns with our core products and services. The talented Tarryn Rennie was tasked with the design, and we were blown away with how she brought our design vision to life!

The Aloe ferox leaf which forms part of the “A” icon immediately caught our eye and, as Tarryn predicts, this symbol will ultimately become African Cures’ signature icon. Along with the green colour palette, we think these two elements work exceptionally well to reflect our strong ties with nature and natural ingredients.

The selection of fonts also helped realise the overall design concept, which was to create a modern, simplified style that is fresh and contemporary. Our brand-new slogan, “go natural”, perfectly represents what our company and products stand for.

The NEW Prosit Logo and Product Labels

Prosit is one of our most well-known brands, so it was important to create a simple, modern logo that becomes memorable and easily identifiable. The Aloe ferox leaf from the new African Cures logo has been applied to a half-circle which further signifies the unique, holistic health benefits that Prosit offers.

The biggest point of difference is the introduction of colour to the new product labels. As Tarryn explains, colour played an integral part in the rebrand as there needed to be a clearer differentiation between Prosit and Prosit Alcohol-Free products. We’re confident the vibrant green and yellow labels will stand out on the shelves, with the latter representing our range of alcohol and sugar-free products.

As much as our brand identity has changed, the contents contained within each package remain completely the same. All our products are made with natural ingredients only, from a blend of SA Cape Aloe, cayenne pepper, garlic, liquorice and ginger. We’re committed to bringing you the same great natural remedy you’ve come to know and trust!
